TRAVEL TO CROATIA

Today has been a long day because the students have had to wake up early in the morning to meet at the airport and take the plane. The flight has been pleasent with some magnificent views and no delay.

As they have arrived in Zagreb they have taken a tram and left their suitcases at the lodge, and after that they have started the touristic tour. They have seen the down town of Zagreb visiting the cathedral, multiple terraces and the Saturday morning market. Very soon after they have felt hungry and they've eaten delicious Italian food.

After lunch, some have taken a nap, some have chatted and others have continued sigthseeing.

Later in the afternoon they have resumed their tour arround the city which has included some other sites of interest in the upper town with a break to take an ice cream.

In the evening they've dined light in a Pub before going to sleep.

This morning they got up quite late as they had to recover hours of sleep from the previous day. They made a Healthy breakfast (healthy breakfast) in the hotel kitchen with the products they had bought the day before in the supermarket.

Then they have prepared to leave the hostel and go to the tram that has led them to the bus station.

Then they took the bus that took them to Rijeka through wonderful forests. Unfortunately the weather has not accompanied them and it has rained a lot throughout the journey.

In the afternoon they have arrived to the station of the city where already the families waited for them ... moments of great nerves and emotions !!!

From the news that we have, all the students are well with the families and during the afternoon they have carried out various activities like going for a walk in the port, despite the time, to spend some time in the bowling alley...

13/05/19

Today was the first day of the official meeting. During the day yesterday the delegations of all the schools arrived and today we have met for the first time together in the school of Rijeka where they have received us with a show of music and dance prepared by the students.

Then we visited the school and we attended a class. At the end we took the bus to go to the castle of Stara Sušica where we will spend two days all together working. We arrived at 2, we settled in the rooms and we quickly ate.

In the afternoon we have started to work for our project in international groups. Now we just have dinner and we prepare for the disco.

Today has been a very amazing day at the meteorological level since we have enjoyed the snow in the month of May in Croatia. Yesterday, it was quite cold, but nobody could imagine that this time it would start to snow. Even so, we took advantage of the morning to make a long and splendid stroll through the lush forests of the Stara Susica region (mountains between the Croatian coast and Slovenia).

Then we finished the work we had started doing yesterday afternoon and all the groups presented it to their classmates.

Now we are back to Rijeka in the home of the families where we have a better hair temperature and neither does it rain or snow.

15/05/19

This morning we had a guided tour of the Rijeka Center and the port. At the end, half of the students visited the offices of the local newspaper Novi lis and the rest visited the local radio Radio Rijeka. Taking into account that the purpose of this meeting is to write a newspaper explaining all the work they have been doing throughout this year, they have been able to take advantage to solve some doubts and other curiosities.

In the evening we met with students, parents of Croatian students and teachers, at the institute, where students received a diploma for having participated in the 2nd meeting in Croatia, of the Erasmus + "Healthier breakfast, wiser minds" .

At the end we enjoyed a splendid dinner prepared by the center and the parents of the Croatian students.

16/05/19

Six days ago we are in Croatia and this is noted among the students; The relationships between boys and girls in different countries are growing but unfortunately tomorrow is our last day together.

Today it has been a day of cultural visit, although early in the morning we went to the town hall for the official reception and they offered us a "not very healthy" breakfast. Then we went up to the ship that led us to the island of Cres where we were able to stroll through the natural park. The weather has accompanied us and it made a magnificent but not hot sun to bathe in the transparent waters of the island. Then we went back to board for lunch on the ship and continue on the route Moscenicka Draga where we have moored the boat to enjoy a little bit of this small town. Here some have dared to bathe!

Finally, we went back to the ship to go to the city of Opatija where the families were waiting for us.

Tomorrow we have a work day at school to finish our magazine.

17/05/19

Today has been the last day of work and cultural visits of our meeting in Croatia. We met at 09:00 in the school to edit the magazine we wrote during the two days at the castle. In order to do this, we have divided into 4 international groups of people and each one has made an editing proposal. At the end of the morning we voted among all the proposal we liked the most and this will be our official magazine. At home we only have to make the bilingual version in Catalan. This magazine will be distributed on the day of the Open Days of Erasmus + that will take place on May 8.

In the afternoon we went to visit the upper part of the city and we could enjoy some wonderful views of the coast since there were no clouds; Today the good weather has also accompanied us.
